Rated 5 out of 5 by Happyatthesink from Just What We Needed We had to replace a 28 year old Delta faucet in our master bath. It was the one-handled, clear beveled ball style in a brushed gold/brass finish. Because all other fixtures were also of that finish which was popular in the late 80’s, we needed to find something that matched. We had no luck until we ran across this Pegasus faucet. It’s the perfect finish that goes perfectly with the existing fixtures and drawer & cabinet handles. We weren’t familiar with this brand, being diehard Delta fans, but, because Delta doesn’t offer the same finish, we took a chance on this one. So pleased we did. It seems to be of high quality, and we love the ease of using the faucet. The two handles operate smoothly and are so much easier to use than the old “ball version”. Something we think about as we age. The high arc gives us the height needed to keep washcloths away from the drain when rinsing. The faucet also swivels as an extra feature. Verified Purchase I am very pleased with my purchase, especially comparing price to quality. The faucet is beautiful and perfectly matches my existing antique brass fixtures. Product was received on schedule as promised. Only negative – I would be hesitant to put this faucet set in a bath that was used by children because the faucet handle is a little loose, as commented by others who purchased the same set. In my guest bath, it is just perfect and I am sure will be very serviceable. Read More

Don’t replace all your brass. Shiny brass can make a home look dated, but often there are so many doorknobs, fixtures and hinges that replacing them all is cost prohibitive. Antiqued or satin-finish brass is beginning to trend and looks more expensive than the brushed nickel many people use to update their brass. You can inexpensively purchase a product to “age” or slightly debrass your hardware.

Verified Purchase This faucet was just beautiful. It made me sick because I had to return it, because the vanity top holes did not fit the faucet holes! But I must add, Overstock.com was fantastic. My faucet arrived early, and returning it was not a hassle. I will definitely check them out when shopping for items in the future. Read More

The mirrored medicine cabinets and brass lights are both pieces Crawford already owned. The faucets are unlacquered brass from Barber Wilsons. Tip: If you are considering unlacquered brass, know that this is a living finish, which means it will change over time, and water splashes will speed up patination.

Oil-Rubbed Bronze – A great aesthetic alternative to standard chrome and brushed nickel, oil-rubbed bronze gives the bathroom a more traditional look and feel. Working on a budget? if you don’t want to purchase all the matching accessories and you have other brass items in your bathroom, such as an old light switch plate or cabinet knobs, you can always use a brass darkening solution to make all the hardware match.

Verified Purchase I looked and looked everywhere for a faucet with a single lever that looked interesting and had an “antique brass” finish, which no one seems to be making anymore. I saw this one and was thrilled that it looked really different and had the finish I was looking for, and was a good value. There was no problem with the installation (though I wasn't the one that installed it), and I've only had it a short time, so I hope it lasts. Read More

Rated 2 out of 5 by rdnh from solid, but has lost the finish after 2 years We purchased this faucet to match items already installed in the bathroom. Installed easy, and it works great. Very solid. It has been 2 years, and the finish is coming off. I’m going to replace it because of this issue. It is a shame, as the quality of faucet other than this is great. Date published: 2015-01-20

Eclectic touches. The mirror is a wonderful opportunity to add unique style to the bathroom. In this renovated Boston brownstone, an antique French mirror steals the spotlight, and brass faucets and frames pick up on its warm gold finish.

While the homeowners didn’t care to have a huge en-suite bathroom, they did want to incorporate an antique tub and a separate shower. A repurposed sidelight from downstairs shares light between the vanity and the shower unit. The countertop is grey limestone, and the taps are unlacquered brass. One of Holly’s favourite elements in this room is the knob on the shower door.
