Vintner Series is one of our most popular lines, because stackable wine racks are so easily managed in your home to create the perfect wine storage area. These modular wine racks can be purchased as you go and can fit the most difficult spaces. The casual wine drinker might have only a smaller area in their home or apartment to convert to holding wine bottles but it's always good to plan ahead. Many wine enthusiasts will start with a wine cooler or wine fridge but moving from that to a custom built wine cabinet or a completely custom wine cellar can be in your future. Please let us know how we can help you create the perfect wine cellar solution for you. If you send in your measurements, we can do a free design. Contact us today.

In addition, our kit racks may be altered to fit exact dimensions. Plus, our line of stackable modular wine cabinet kits work well with all our kit racks, increasing the custom look of your wine cellar. Add one of our standard or custom stain options and a superior lacquer finish for a more sophisticated look. This all adds up to a wine cellar that cannot be matched by any other supplier at any price.

Wood Species: Mahogany and Clear Northern Pine Our wine racks are available in Clear Northern Pine or Mahogany. The clear pine is a beautiful blond wood and our most economical option. Mahogany is a durable hardwood that is ideal for the wine cellar application due to its natural ability to withstand the cool, humid environment in the wine cellar. All-Heart Redwood, as its name implies, is harvested from the heart of the redwood tree and has a beautifully consistent rich red tone. All-heart redwood is strong and durable and can withstand the cool, humid environment very well, similar to mahogany. However, the b-grade, “premium” redwood is harvested from the outer layers of the tree and is soft and pulpy, with a tone variation from almost white to dark red. “Premium” redwood wine racks make for a very striped look within your wine cellar. The “premium” redwood, because of its inconsistent density, does not take stain evenly, so the finish looks blotchy. We suggest that you request a sizable sample of the redwood being proposed.

Raised Bottom Row All our wine racks have a full 2.5″ leg to raise the lowest row of bottles up off the floor. This leg also provides the attachment point for the base molding, so no additional base or lift piece is required. Other companies’ racks do not have this base and the bottles will rest on the floor. Some also need you to purchase a pedestal to lift the racks off the floor in order to attach the base molding. Easily Attach Base Molding All our wine racks have a 2.5″ leg that provides the attachment point for the base molding, so no additional base or lift piece is required. Other companies’ racks do not have this base and the installation of a pedestal is required to attach the base molding. Pre-Drilled Holes At No Cost On any Vigilant standard wine rack order, you have the option of using a brad nailer to attach the spacer bars to the uprights or having Vigilant pre-drill your spacer bars and provide the screws and screw covers (mahogany) at no additional charge.

Solid High-Quality Arch Tops All our arch tops have full height, solid sides for support and stability as well as a finished tabletop. Available in multiple styles and sizes with optional pre-wired lighting. Other companies offer arch tops that require the purchase of a tabletop to ensure the arch top unit is the same height as the racking next to it. Integrated Cabinetry Components We are the ONLY company that offers a line of standard modular cabinetry that is designed to integrate seamlessly with our Classic, Estate and Custom wine racking. Often times, our designers will include some of this cabinetry in the design as it offers functional accessory storage and provides a beautiful focal point. The addition of cabinetry in the design creates a unique and very custom looking cellar. Eased Slat Edges All of our bins and case storage are constructed using solid panels, providing added durability and sturdiness. Many other companies offer flimsy slatted bins and case storage. Slatted components are constructed using a series of narrow wood pieces, which are less durable and can be wobbly.
